CX members Rachael Dzikonski & Jon "Roach" Brosius will be volunteering today and tomorrow for this year’s Day of Action – a global effort made by United Way since 2008 – to own the day through volunteering and giving back.
In honor of United Way Day of Action, Arrowhead United Way will be painting Dr. Earl R. Crane Children’s Dental Center. Established in 1949, the Dr. Earl
R. Carne Children’s Dental Center provides complete, professional dental
care to uninsured children between the ages of 5 and 18 living in San
Bernardino and surrounding communities including Colton, Rialto, Highland, and Muscoy. The
children of San Bernardino served by the Dental Center are from
families of every ethnic, religious and racial background who do not
have dental insurance, are low income, and are not receiving any other
form of public welfare. Services are provided for a
$20 fee, regardless of number of services provided. No child is ever
turned away if they cannot afford to pay the fee.
This
volunteer event aims to liven up their space with a mural, so that the staff and
children have a nice environment to give and receive care!
